Is the Lord Your Rock?

The Lord is My Rock - Psalms 18:2

King David wrote the following:  “I will love You, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.”  (Psalms 18:1-3)  What a truly wonderful expression of trust, love, and admiration.  David loved and worshiped the Lord God.  David would call upon the Lord whom he saw as being “worthy to be praised.”  David saw the Lord to be his rock, his fortress, his deliverer, his strength, his shield, his horn of salvation, and his stronghold.  David knew the Lord would save him from his enemies.

Christians must have the same trust, love, and admiration for the Lord.  Just as the Lord cared for David, protecting him and providing for him, so too will the Lord provide the spiritual needs of all Christians, saving them from their spiritual enemies, being a fortress and stronghold to them.  Do you have the same level of trust and love for the Lord as did David?  Are you willing to allow the Lord to lead you through life by His wonderful word?  The Lord God is truly worthy of your trust, your worship, and your praise. Turn to Him today and let Him be your strength and your shield.   Would you like more information on learning why you should trust in the Lord and what you must do to become one of His children?  If so, then write to me at: Remember, always factor the truth of God’s word into your daily life.  By so doing, you will shape your life in a way that is pleasing to God.
