John 4:19-26
Dear Brethren,
Good Sunday Morning!
Where will you worship the Lord today? For the members of the Gore Boulevard congregation, we will meet at 6235 W. Gore Blvd. in Lawton, Oklahoma to worship our heavenly Father. Elsewhere in the world, there will be saints who will meet in their homes, in old store fronts, maybe even under a tent somewhere, etc. The good news is that where saints meet to worship God is not important. What is of most concern is that their worship be in spirit and in truth.
When you assemble with fellow saints today, examine your worship to make certain that what you offer to God is sincere and heart felt, yet in accordance with God's word, the truth taught only in the Bible. I firmly believe that there are many people within the denominational world whose worship comes from a mostly sincere heart, but a heart without proper knowledge. As such their worship is not acceptable. Neither is the worship acceptable of the person whose worship may be in accordance with God's word, but his or her heart is far from God.
Dear brethren, think on these things today as you worship the Father in heaven. Here is John 4:19-26 presented for your consideration.
John 4:19-26
19 The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet.
20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.”
21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
25 The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.”
26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”
In Love,
